Improv

I am passionate about improvisation, especially Chicago-style long-form improvisation, which I have practiced for about ten years. It feeds the soul. I am currently a member of the Maydays, performing improvised musicals in beautiful Brighton, and of Contact, performing improvised science-fiction at the Carnaval des Phénomènes in London.

In my efforts to learn something from all the fragmented tribes of improvisation I have studied with a bunch teachers, including Paul Sills (founder of Second City), Mick Napier (founder of the Annoyance Theatre), members of the Upright Citizens Brigade, members of Centralia, as well as other greats such as Armando Diaz, Andrew Secunda, Todd Stashwick, and Kevin Mullaney.

I studied acting at the New Actors Workshop in New York, have written plays and screenplays, and appeared most recently in an Edinburgh Fringe Festival production of The Spanish Interludes, a set of original translations of one-act plays by Cervantes.
